Looks gorgeous, drives beautifully!
By Patrice Catanio | on Tuesday, March 19, 2024
However, Toyota took away some things for no apparent reason, except to save money. I am very unhappy there is no rear windshield wiper! They also took away rear passenger cup holders, boo. There’s much less headroom in my 2024 which makes it feel a bit claustrophobic. I’m only 5’5. I don’t know HOW a tall person can feel comfortable in this car. There is also way less legroom in the back for passengers, WAY LESS!!! And, a lot less cargo room as well. Toyota has also reduced storage space in the front. I must say I really dislike the big screen in front if my face when I’m driving. They would do better to have that stuff recessed. There is also NO SPARE TIRE! Unacceptable!! That’s my complaints. Here’s what i love: power steering is 1000x better than in my 2005. MPG is incredible. Really good around town, really good! The car handles and drives beautifully. The safety features are amazing. Back up, forward parking, so good. The car is much easier to judge when parallel parking too. And, they got rid of terrible blind spots regarding pedestrians! That small glass lookout is much bigger now. Thank goodness! I love the fabric seats. Very nice. Seats are super comfortable too. Mostly it’s fun and easy to drive. Sexy looking too. Cooling and heating systems excellent! 4 stars due to things I named as complaints.… - 5.0
Great Little Car
By Bringslite | on Tuesday, December 12, 2023
I previously owned a 2017 Prime and now have the XLE trim, and let me tell you, it's a significantly better vehicle than the prior generation. Many YouTube reviewers complained about the CVT noise, which is understandable given their lack of experience with the CVT gearbox. Needless to say, it's not as annoying as they claim. Power is adequate. It has a slew of standard safety features. If you are over 6 feet tall, this car may not be for you. It sits very low, so getting into and out of it may be challenging. Initial mpg is in the mid-30's, but I heard from other owners and the dealer that it will improve once the engine break-in is achieved (around 1K miles or so). My only criticism is the limited visibility from the back hatch window, which isn't a big concern once you get used to it. Overall, a very nice and sleek vehicle.… - 5.0
A Nice Surprise!
By Eric | on Monday, May 05, 2025
I test drove a 2025 Prius XLE, Mazda Miata, and Subaru Crosstrek after driving a Toyota 4-Runner for 5 years. I expected good reliability and was taken by surprise with the ride and roominess so I decided to purchase one. I've been driving it for 3 months / 2,000 miles and absolutely love it! It handles like a sports car, taking on curvy backroads just as nicely as the Miata and with better acceleration. I'm 6-ft and find the fit is just right for me. Some reviews talk about an obstructed view of the instrument cluster but I find no problem with it. Limited headroom in the back is to be expected with the sleek design and I find it much better than sports cars of this size. The steering wheel and seat adjustment options take care of that. The hatchback design offers much more room than the Miata and it has 4 doors and a backseat. It has just as much storage as the Subaru, and much better performance and comfort. The build quality feels solid for such a small car and I'm confident I will get many miles of low mpg reliability with this beauty (54 mph without really trying).…
